Release Overview​

RCOM Gateway 3.8.3 adds flexible Agent process-variable linking and delivers reliability fixes across process templates, Object Group imports, Event Rules, and EPCIS generation.

Improvements​

  • [Agents - Process Variables]: Added support for linking process variables to Group Variables or Client Variables. Linked values are synchronized when configured and whenever the process starts.

Bug Fixes​

  • [Agents - Process Templates]: Fixed an issue where variables could be overwritten when multiple process templates were updated in parallel in separate browser tabs.
  • [Object Groups - Import Permissions]: Fixed Object Group imports overwriting permissions for existing roles on the target instance. Existing role permissions are now preserved when importing into an existing Object Group Type.
  • [Event Rules - Object Change Trigger]: Fixed intermittent missing group names in Object-Change events, ensuring Event Rules that depend on the configured group can be triggered reliably.
  • [Workflow Actions - EPCIS Generation]: Fixed the EPCIS-Generation action failing when the optional EVENT_TIME parameter is not provided.
  • [Event Rules - UHFTagRead]: Fixed timestamps being displayed as NULL in the context during UHF Tag Read events.
